President's Message

Or Hadash is such a special place.  A warm and caring community, we are small, but we sure have heart. 

People are often surprised when they find out that there is a shul north of Thornhill.  Yes, wherever there are more than a handful of Jews, there is a Jewish community.  We are proud to represent Reform Jews and their families in northern York Region.

This is a busy year for us.  We have invested in our new home and in a wonderful, well respected and truly talented Rabbi.  Together, we look forward to building our educational programming for adults, holding more social events and growing our Youth Group.  We encourage everyone to participate and if so inclined, to get involved.  Many hands make light work.

New this year will be the reintroduction of our Judaica night for children under 6.  An evening will be set aside every two weeks and children will have the opportunity to learn about Judaism through arts and crafts and story telling.
